The music and cinema community were rocked today as we learned that Grammy Award winning actress and singer songwriter Olivia Newton-John passed away at the age of 73 years old
. And as you can see here, her passing was confirmed in a statement released by her husband, John Easterling, onto her official social media accounts which read Dame Olivia Newton-John, 73, passed away peacefully at her ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time.
Shortly after the news was released, John Travolta turned to his social media to tribute his friend and fellow costar from quite arguably the biggest musical movie of all time, Grease, and the movie that really catapulted their careers. John's heartfelt tribute read My Dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible.
I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you. And forever. You're Danny. You're John. Olivia Newton-John will never be forgotten and will forever be one of the best to do it in the entertainment industry. Our hearts and prayers go out to Olivia Newton-John's family and friends during this very difficult time.
